2025 - Post Typhoon Mawar
According to reports from the Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz spokesperson, the mother tree had no living tissue as of September 2024, over a year after the damage from Typhoon Mawar. Some say that the tree died due to the clearing of the forest for a shooting range, but it hasn't been confirmed. There are still over 200 saplings that are living, but are not guaranteed to reach full maturity. The only hope for the Håyun Lågu species is the saplings planted with military protection.
